   TEACHING EXPERIENCE AND MISCELLANEOUS INFO:
  • The Chemistry of Oriental Lacquer," a presentation given to the "Science and the Visual Arts" class at Marshall University, Huntington, WV, April 22, 2003.
     
  • Judge for the Belle & Lynam Jackson Competition Competition of the Department of Music, Marshall Unviersity, Huntington, WV, March 9, 2003.
     
  • "Oriental Lacquer: A Science Perspective," a presentation given to the docents at the Huntington Museum of Art, Huntington, WV, October 22, 2001.
     
  • Instructor in Piano and Music Theory, Department of Music, University of South Carolina, Columbia. (After obtaining her master's degree, Bragin was invited to join the faculty. She and her husband moved to California one year after her appointment.)
     
  • Honorable Mention, Danforth Fellowship (Music, Piano Performance).
     
  • Adjudicator for music competitions in Southern California.
     
  • Numerous performances (solo, chamber music, lecture recital) in various venues in Southern California, including the South Bay Chamber Music Series in Palos Verdes, Donald Wright Auditorium, Ambassador College Recital Hall, Harbeson Hall, CSULA Concert Hall, Dabney Lounge, Brand Library Auditorium, Herrick Chapel at Occidental College.
     
  • Other performances include those at the San Jose Museum of Art (Calif.), the Palo Alto Cultural Center (Calif.), the Columbia Museum of Art (S. Carolina), the Charles Sumner Museum and the Hirshhorn Museum (the latter two, both at Washington, DC).
     
  • Has provided chamber music and piano solo coaching sessions and given private piano lessons at various times.
     
  • Conductor of an instrumental ensemble which accompanied the musicale "Cinderella" at Mayfield Senior School, Pasadena, CA, where Bragin was Chair of the Math and Science Department at the time.

Married to Joseph Bragin. Two children, Michael Bragin and Naomi Bragin.
